CEO's Testifying On the Hill

Hmmmmm... Wow...... Do you mean to tell me those 'cats' make all that money just to make rotten decisions? And then after doing so, retire with 10's, even hundreds of millions of dollars?

I'll never understand WHY companys, even extremely successful ones need to pay "one person" all that money, just for 'whatever' leadership skills they are thought to have.

The CEO of Costco makes in the neighborhood of $400,000 per year. In its market, Costco does pretty well and, that pay is reasonable, or atleast to most Americans. Now, former CEO's of Merryl Lynch and the current CEO of Countrywide,....come on! These guys are making and have made 10 times what the Costco guy makes per year, EVERY YEAR and they havent even made any money for the company.

Its good to be a CEO.

Whatcha Gonna Do?

Okay...there is talk of recession in our midst. Yes, there are billions of dollars spent monthly on a war thousands of miles away while your having trouble battling your own mortgage payments. And of course the value of the dollar is tanking and 'nose dive' is putting it mildly. Yeah, all this is true so..."whatcha gonna do?"

As you contemplate your next, move time continues ticking and we both know 'you aint gettin' no younger', soooooo.... Whatcha gonna do?

Well definitely DON'T just lay down and die. You're better and smarter than that. Besides, you have so much counting on you to do what YOU CAN DO. The least you can do is get a hold of your finances. You don't have to be an economist or a financial wizard to take control, just go back to basics. List out what is coming in and whats going out. Figure out ways (even small ones) to increase the inflow and whatever you can to decrease the out.

Also contemplate investing over seas. Do not go it alone on this as it is all so easy to be done in, however think about what you'd like to accomplish with what you have do the research on reputable institutions and go from there.

Any way you look at it, you've got to do something, you've got a good head on your shoulders.. use it!

Soooo,.... whatcha gonna do?

I Love New York

"I LOVE NEW YORK!"

Long before a young lady named Tiffany had a covertly watched show bearing the same words. Even before she went on VH1's "The Flavor of Love" painting herself as an Amarosa knock off, the term 'I love New York' was our hometown & well known Frank Sinatra song (with a strong international flare).

For years the song was played, sang by many, and parts of the lyrics were even coined by New Yorkers and others as their own. Actually, the song's title was used by the state's government in travel campaigns for many years.

Known as "the world's financial capital", also for its well known landmarks, diverse shopping venues, along with its Broadway & megastar productions, New York is for many reasons a city like no other.

New York is, and will always BE one of a kind.

That said, let me ask YOU the question: "Do you have love for NEW YORK?"

Left Over Turkeys

The bottom line, "Don't Be One."

Every year, with the close of Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade, you know the holiday season is in full swing with the Santa Clause riding the last and final float. A great marketing plan by the organizers to remind folks to start shopping. However, it is also a mental 'trigger' for some to acceptably 'loose their minds' financially among other ways.

Christmas, a holiday 'created' in recognition of Christ's birth and celebrated as such for centuries, today is so commercialized, its meaning/purpose often lost in GETTING and GIVING. That said, given no one 'really' knows when he was born, why not make everyday Christmas. Promise yourself to keep your head, avoid depression, give in line with your beliefs, and...oh yeah, get rid of the left over turkey before that celebration comes.

Trouble OR Opportunity Coming?

"MONEY is the route of all evil", "MONEY makes the world go around." "MONEY, got to have it, I really need it"-[the O'Jays], or my favorite, 'do what you love, the MONEY will follow.'

Don't know what YOUR views are on money but if you don't have one, however your living your life today will probably dictate what you do with & how you think about it tomorrow.

With all the rumors of recession, the devaluation of the dollar, global competition, and everything else banging your greenbacks around, for your OWN GOOD get an idea of what you should do when 'THE CLIP(money) hits the fan.'
